Homecoming Day

It's been a big day of homecomings.

The Heir and his girlfriend have returned home after a month touring around America.

Favourite Daughter has returned home after house/cat-sitting for The Heir in Northcote.

And by now Vicki should have arrived home from a long stint of playing Grandma in South Australia. I'm sure Mum and Tim will be glad to see her.

Hi Marcus. Completely unrelated to your blog, but I was just reminded of school chaplains and had the urge to thank you and this seems to be the only way I can find you. About 20 years ago, you were my chaplain at Carine. I had barrage of problems and found that they were just too difficult for most adults. Not you. You listened, you made us all feel safe and comfortable. Things could have gone badly for me, and I still struggle with the after effects of what happened to me way back then. But you were the one adult I could talk to, and now I'm a Psychologist helping people get through their stuff. Thanks so much for your help. You were awesome.

Hi Louise, if you happen to come back for a visit I just want to say how much your message blessed and encouraged me. I loved working at Carine and still have many friends there. We all try and do our jobs well but don't always know if we've been effective or not. Your feedback affirmed me for the work I did and the effort I put in and to hear that it helped shape your life and career choice is both humbling and gratifying. Thank you so much for taking the time to track me down. Bless you
